When we started planning the Harvest for Kids 2010 event, one of the things we prayed about was asking God to take Harvest for Kids to the next level. It was one thing to set a Guinness World Record, but it wasn’t the purpose. God has been answering that prayer with other projects starting to make an impact in changing the lives of children around the world.
We’ve been working with a group of farmers in Saskatchewan who have their eyes set on a goal of reaching thousands of children with the Gospel. They are using their gifts and talents and what God has called them to do for a living to make that difference. Over the years to come farmers will be donating crops and loads of grain for Harvest for Kids sending kids to camp with Children’s Camps International (CCI).
We’ve also started a project getting livestock producers involved. We realize that cash donations may be difficult to make, but you might be willing to give of your time on the farm. Our livestock program involves raising a calf, designated as a Harvest for Kids (H4K) calf. The cost of raising the calf is your contribution to the ministry. When the calf is sold as a feeder or finished animal, the proceeds of the sale will go to CCI, bringing the Gospel to children around the world. Would you like to get involved and raise a H4K calf?
Please continue to pray for our ministry as we continue to share Jesus with those in need around the world.
